My beautiful Brenda, I can't believe a year has already passed...I still miss you so much. Life has gone on, but there is an emptiness where you used to be. I realize now more than ever that you were THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME.
Casey and Madison have grown up so much, Brenda you would be so proud of them. I know you are still watching over us and helping take care of things...every problem that has come our way always seemed to work itself out. I have risen to the challenges of being a single parent, the same as we faced the challenges of your illness. Your strength and confidence now flows through me, I feel you and I know you are there. I know you would never completely leave us as your love for your family was far too great to be broken. I still love you too Brenda, and I always will.
I want to thank Lionel, Yvette, and all the Parenteau family that I am still so very honored and thankful to be a part of. A special thank-you to Jerry, Stef, Louise, and Joanne for all of their help and support through Brenda's illness. They all made personal sacrifices to spend time at our home, and Brenda and I couldn't have done it without them.
A special thank-you to Brenda's dear friend Uba (Debbie McGillvray) who was always there at her side, in good times and in bad, for the last 20+ years. One could only hope in their entire lifetime to have the experience of a friend like Uba.
Also thank-you to Angela Morrison and Shirley Scott, good friends you will always be.
Thank-you to everyone who attended Brenda's memorial services, to everyone who sent cards and e-mails, and to everyone who posted their condolences at this site. Keep Brenda fondly in your memory...and her spirit will live on.

I worked with Brenda few years ago. She was a great educator full of energy, love and ideas but my admiration for her skyrocketed when I saw her determination and strength fighting her illness. She made many lives a bit brighter.

I was very saddened to hear of your loss,I met Brenda many years ago when we were working at TMS.
Brenda always met me at the start of our shift with a ready smile and was always a source of laughter and positive energy.
Although, we lost contact with each other some years ago all the great memories have come flooding back and I am truly saddened for your loss she was a very special person.
My heartfelt condolences.

I was so shocked and so very sad to hear of Brenda's passing. Although I haven't seen or spoken to her in years, when I see her picture it brings back so many great memories of school days in P.A.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
