WHITLEY Brendan 27 Cleenish Park Died 6th August, 2014 The wife, children and extended family of the late Brendan Whitley, wish to express our sincere gratitude to all those who sympathised with and supported us on our recent sad loss. Thank you to all the people who called at our home, sent Mass and sympathy cards, telephoned, brought food and floral tributes and to our kind family members and friends who worked tirelessly at the wake in our home over the three days. Thank you most sincerely. To our wonderful neighbours who make our community a great place to be part of, thank you. Special thanks to all the Medical Staff who looked after Brendan during his short illness, from the Staff of Ward 3, South West Acute Hospital, his GP Dr. Michael Smyth and Team. To his Social Worker Claire and Team, the Palliative Care Team, to the District Nursing Team, Jill, Betty and Caroline who's care was exceptional and enabled him to come home or a short while, which was a great comfort to us all, also the wonderful Marie Curie Nurses, Helen and Norma, who's compassion and support we will never ever forget, to his many Home Carers who looked after Brendan so respectfully and all in Gordon's Pharmacy, the family wish to thank you all most sincerely. We also thank all those who donated to The Marie Curie Fund in lieu of flowers. Thank you to all the Priests and Nuns who prayed with Brendan, both in the hospital and at home. Canon Peter O'Reilly, Fr. Joe McVeigh, Fr. Brian D'Arcy, Sisters Monica and Carmel. A special word of gratitude to Fr. David Donnelly whose prayers gave Brendan such peace and Fr. Raymond Donnelly for his gentle words at Brendan's beautiful funeral service. Thank you to Jackie Bannon for her lovely singing and to our grandchildren Kerri, Conan and Erin for their wonderful and uplifting music which made the Mass so special. Thanks to all our wonderful grandchildren and family members who read, brought up the gifts and symbols, said prayers of the faithful and to all who took part in the Mass in any way, thank you. A special word of thanks to Mr. John McKeegan for the dignified, caring and personal manner in which he carried out all the funeral arrangements. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our family circle appreciation and gratitude. Brendan's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 13th September at 6 pm in St. Michael's Church, Enniskillen.
