Brendon James "Bubba" Bubar

CHERRYFIELD - Brendon "Bubba" Bubar, 27, lost his courageous battle with drug addiction March 31, 2016. This sweet bundle of boy joy was born on July 14, 1988, to Karen Klein and James Bubar.

Brendon was an avid lobster fisherman. He worked on many different fishing vessels throughout his career of fishing, most recently on the Vaerdal in Dutch Harbor, Alaska. Brendon loved being on the ocean, from Jonesport, Maine, all the way across country to Alaska. As long as he was on the ocean, he was happy, because for him, the ocean was home. Corea, Maine was Brendon's all time favorite piece of the ocean. Brendon was a loving, caring, gentle, kindhearted young man. He was always there for anyone that ever needed him. Brendon enjoyed hunting, four wheeling, back road riding, and bonfires, the bigger the fire, the better he liked it. Brendon was a daredevil at heart, with no fear of anything. As a young boy he became a little cowboy as he tried out his Mumma's horses. He loved dirt biking, which always ended with a few broken bones. Brendon enjoyed every minute he had with his two boys. He loved them both with all his heart. He enjoyed spending time with his Mum, and with his Dad, whom he loved and adored very much. Brendon had a heart of gold. He touched alot of people with his charming and joking ways.

Brendon is survived by his "MUM" Karen L. Klein and partner, Steven W. Santerre of Cherryfield, Me.; his "DAD" James F. Bubar and partner, Betty S. Eaton of Lamoine, Me.; brother, Laine S. Klein Borer of Cherryfield, Me.; two sons, Bryce T. Bubar of Lamoine, Me., Braden M. Bubar and his mother, Stephanie A. Junkins of Cherryfield, Me.; two stepdaughters, Skky Tenney and Angela Houghton of Jonesport, Me.; grandparents, Rebecca D. Bubar of Sullivan, Me., Forrest F. Bubar and wife, Linda of Addison, Me.; aunts and uncles, Barbie and Tex Cirone of Jonesport, Me., Lynette and Shannon Smith of East Machias, Me., Clark and Krystal Bubar of Sullivan, Me., Karla and Jim Konieczki of Peru, IL.; several cousins and many friends. Brendon was predeceased by his brother, Tyler J. Bubar; grandmother, Corban H. Adams; grandfather, Franklin S. Klein; and great-grandmother, Ruby S. Dobbins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 2:00pm at the Unionville Church of God in Steuben, officiated by Charles Kelley. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the home of Karen and Steven after the services.
