Brennan Cather Obituary

Funeral services for Brennan Robert Cather, of Rochester, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Hope Summit Christian Church in Rochester. The Rev. Jeff Matteson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, at the Church and one hour prior to the service.

Brennan died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester. He was 17 months of age.

Brennan was born Aug. 8, 2016, in Rochester, the son of Brady and Michelle (Fromm) Cather. He was the little brother with the big smile and happy-go-lucky attitude. He would mimic his brother, yet lead with authority when need be. Brennan knew the love he felt from Brother, Mom, Dad and others was genuine and he will be missed by all who knew and touched his all too short of life.

Brennan is survived by his parents, Brady and Michelle Cather, and brother, Bryson Michael, all of Rochester; grandparents, Joni and Bruce Cather of Albert Lea, and Roger Fromm (Janet DeYoung) of Baldwin, Wis.; great-grandparents, Robert and Patricia Cather of Cleveland, Okla.; great-aunt, Kay (Don) Olson of Des Moines, Iowa; aunt, Kathy Gries of Rochester; cousins, Laurie (Bob) Reynolds of Des Moines, Iowa; Troy (Bridget) Olson of Lincoln, Neb.; and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also special friends, Greg (Annie) Harris and their children, Luke, Landon and Addelyn of Kasson, Rich (Sue) Holland and their children, Megan and JoJo of Rochester.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rita Fromm; great-grandparents, Robert (Gladys) Gries; great-grandmother, Dorothy Fromm; and great-grandfather, Alvin Vollmer.
