I just found out today that Dr. Harper passed away last month. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to the family. I was a patient of Dr. Harper for many years. We lost a very special human being with his passing. I will miss our conversations that we had at our appointments. There will be a new bright star in the skies from now on. RIP

Brent was an incredible missionary in Mexico. He was 100% obedient and always happy and positive. He was a great example of goodness and of how a Christlike person should live. Even though I had little contact with him since our time in Mexico, he always remembered me and things we did together. We were never companions, but since we were both from Idaho, we are kind of connected. So very sorry for your loss, but he has gone on to start construction on your families mansion on high. We great love and affection. Kirk and Jill Kirkham. Pocatello

I just learned of Brent's passing. This is sad news. We served together as missionaries in Ciudad Valles, San Luis Potosi, Mexico in 1974. I look forward to seeing him again in the world of spirits and giving him a warm 'abrazo' once again. My love and condolences go out to his family.

Was in ID Falls with Brent's brother Bret, my son-in- law. My front tooth broke off and we had a week-end of events ahead if us. It was a Saturday morning. Bret and Mariana took me to Brent's office and when I walked in, the waiting room was full of Hispanic farm workers. He often gave them free service on Saturdays. Brent fit me in, gave me a great temporary fix and wouldn't let me pay. Told me to save my money for the implant I needed, and it would cost me plenty in Seattle where I lived! Condolences to all the wonderful Harpers I know. He was truly a great man.

I have always really liked Brent. He was kind, humble and a good man. I remember driving to his home and visiting for Thanksgiving several times when I was a student at BYU. Brent was fun to talk with. I enjoyed playing cards with him and other family members. I loved seeing him and Kim at our Babbel family reunions. I will miss him.

We are cousins to the East. I know I speak for my entire family when I say based on his dad (Wilson) and my dad (R. Weston Harper) that if he was anything like them ( and I´m sure he was from the comments I´ve read) Nature could stand up and say to all the world "This was a man". He will be missed as good men are in short supply.
Our condolences

The very essence of Brent’s humility is reflected in his obituary. He went about doing food all the days of his life with a smile on his face. One of the good ones! So blessed to be one of his many many cousins.

I’ll miss Brent. He was probably the one uncle that we spent more time with. Brent always worked on our teeth for free and would drop everything to make time for our dental work. He gave me my beautiful smile. He devoted his talents and time for free constantly in the service of others. He would involve my dad by letting him work with him which made my dad feel great. I always enjoyed going to see Brent at the dental office . A great man has passed. He was usually pretty quiet in a crowd but his countenance still shown. I remember him getting up to talk at , I believe his oldest sons mission farewell, and pretending to receive a phone call that he needed to tend to his sheep, then getting back up and giving a great talk about showing his sons the way so that all would follow the example of his eldest and serve missions. I hope he knows he’s special and I valued him!!

Brent is truly an example of Christ-like service. He is humble and charitable. He and his sons spent countless hours remodeling my home and building on an addition several years ago. I'm positive he didn't bill us the correct amount even after approaching him on the total amount due. I remember several times after receiving dental service from him, he told us to just drop off a 50 pound box of potatoes to him and that would be good on the bill. He was a gentle giant with a heart of gold. He will be missed. Love, Julie Jackson Thornton
