Brent Smith Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Aug. 13 to Aug. 14, 2021.
Brent F. Smith, a lifelong resident of Meriden, passed away on June 25, 2021. Born on February 28, 1959, he was the son of the late Therese Butterworth and Richard Smith. Brent is greatly missed by his extended family from Connecticut and Provincetown, MA, where he also lived.

In life, Brent was a kind and loving caregiver, to friends, family, and to all those who touched his life. He was passionate about music, cooking and entertaining; and caring for his two favorite animals, Tripper the Basset and Gabe the Cat. He cared greatly for the environment and most enjoyed time spent near the seashore and in nature.

He will be forever missed by his extended family: Bart Blair, Cristopher Manning, Clarence and Gail Andrade, Karen Serrato, Sharon and Thomas Hardy, Marty Mandel, Bob Grossenbacher, Kathy Wyatt, and Michelle Spinelli.

Family and friends will be holding a private memorial service for Brent in Provincetown, on Saturday, October 16 at 2:00 PM. Contact: [email protected] for details.

Should friends desire, contributions in Brent's memory may be made to: The Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Avenue, Meriden, CT 06451.

We had great times in Ptown. I feel happy for the lunch we shared at your home. I feel sad that we did not get a chance to make it back to Ptown this summer. You will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace.
