Growing up, I always remember Grandpa asking if I was dating any boys yet or if he needed to hurt any of them for me! Haha he was such a big protector of me just like my dad is. With him living states away, we mainly communicated over the phone so when we had the opportunity to visit him a few years ago I made sure to bring my fiance (now husband), Robert so he could meet Grandpa. It meant the world to me have his approval & blessings before we got married. We will treasure this memory and miss him dearly until we meet again. Love you Grandpa!!

I´ll never forget when Grandpa met his first great-grandchild! He was so thrilled. I remember he told me "soon he´ll be taller than you!" 12 years later; You were right- as usual! Grandpa, you didn´t mince words- you were always honest (blunt), always smiling (cracking jokes), and always loved your family! We will miss you so much. Love you forever.

I remember Grandpa saying `it´s one time around the track of life. It ain´t no practice run´. He lived his life his way, and I admired him for that.

I only knew Brian for alittle over a year. He made me laugh. He had my number early on. He loved to tease me. I was fortunate to be at some of his family gatherings. He has a marvelous family and they loved their dad. He was special to me.

Uncle Brian, you will be missed. I have fond memories of you even if we only saw each other a few times over the many many years of our lives. I always thought about you. I´m so thankful to have talked to you just months ago.

I know where my love of horse races comes from now. I´m sure my mom was waiting at the gates with a glass, a huge smile and a "CHEERS!"
