Brian Daugherty Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 3, 2025.
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our beloved brother, Brian Brendan Daugherty, who left us far too soon at the age of 53 on May 11, 2025-doing what he loved: sitting in First Class on a Delta flight, on his way home to Atlanta, GA.

Brian, affectionately known as "Brie" by his sisters, was born on February 1, 1972, in Ravenna, Ohio, to Francis and Rosemary Daugherty. He was the cherished baby of the family, a kind and generous soul whose warm presence was deeply felt by family and friends alike. Whether or not he was the "favorite child" will forever be debated-but he was undoubtedly the first one called back by Francis and Rosemary.

Brian had an undeniable passion for food-both cooking and enjoying it. He loved preparing memorable meals for guests in Atlanta and exploring new restaurants across the globe.

Professionally, he thrived in his role as Managing Director at Accenture, leaving a legacy as a passionate leader, mentor, coach, and friend. His dedication to excellence, deep integrity, and gift for building meaningful relationships led to successful projects and lifelong friendships.

While he traveled the world extensively, no destination ever meant more to Brian than traveling within the U.S. to spend time with his family. Those visits filled his heart with joy and reminded all of us how deeply he cared.

Brian is survived by his six loving siblings: Kevin (Torrie) Daugherty, Paul (Nikki) Daugherty, Anita (John) Radtke, Theresa (Rick) Shidaker, Patricia McCafferty, and Carol Dougherty. He also leaves behind 10 nieces and nephews, 18 great-nieces and great-nephews-all of whom he adored.

Given the wide-reaching impact Brian had on his family, friends, and colleagues, multiple celebrations of his life will be planned in the future. Details regarding those celebrations will be made available when dates and locations are set.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to St. Jude’s. St. Jude’s meant a great deal to Brian - it reflected the kindness, generosity, and hope he brought to others, and he supported their mission with all his heart.
