I had the honor of attending the funeral of a man who had integrity as his first fruit. Brian Dowler was kind, brave, and always eager to ease the hardships of others. For us, at 57, he died too young and after too much suffering, but the body of goodness he left behind was expressed through the many who miss and grieve his death to this life. Take heart that Brian’s name has been written on a new white stone, according to scripture, with a life full of the adventures he loved so without all of the suffering that comes from leaving this life all to early. His complete honesty and integrity have left us with a much better world than when he entered it. May Peace be with you all! My prayers certainly are.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Brian. He was a very nice person. He always spoke to me when he saw me at Obleness hospital. Actually always called my name out when he saw me first.
I pray that the good Lord sustains the family during this difficult time.

Brian was one of my favorite employees at OMH. I am so glad we stayed in touch after my retirement and had many conversations after his diagnosis. How many times over the years did I hear " I am not going to lie to you" before he would share his honest thoughts and emotions. One of the few people I know who could and would share their true thoughts and feelings. I loved that about him. I miss him already.
