There will be a memorial service Wednesday, November 25th at noon at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 65 N. Broad Street, Canfield for Brian N. Dunkel, 64 of Poland who died suddenly Saturday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown. Brian was born February 10, 1951 in Youngstown, a son of the late Norman P. and Faith E. Timmerman Dunkel and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Canfield High School in 1970 and had worked for Boston Retail for 44 years, retiring in 2013. Brian was an avid sportsman. He played football, baseball and ran track in high school. He enjoyed fishing and golfing and was a Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan and he especially enjoyed attending his grandson's football games. He leaves his wife, the former Gaye Brisbee whom he married January 31, 1981; a son, Ryan (fiance' Audra Hall) Dunkel of Farmdale; two daughters, Shelli (Russ) Davidson of Mineral Ridge; Jodi (Tim) Jackson of Lisbon; 10 grandchildren, Stephanie, Coty, Tyler, Kyle, Jared, Alyssa, Samantha, Anthony, Abby, Rebecca; a great grandson, Blayze and a sister, Faith Dunkel Mueller of Tennessee. Besides his parents, Brian was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Pezzano. Friends may call at Wednesday at Lane Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at noon.
