Dr. Emery was very important to me. I believe he saved my life when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I have kept his card in my wallet all these years.

Wow, time truly waits for no one. Hard to believe its been so long. Dr. Emery will always be in my memories and my heart. May his memory live on with his family, especially with his son.
We had so much fun in the O.R. His favorite saying was "We all could use 5 minutes on the couch.

It doesn't seem as though 10 years have passed. Since then, I have lost my husband Frank to cancer. It was 4 years this past August and I am still in shock. I hope your family is doing well. I know losing Dr. Emery has left a tremendous hole in your hearts. God bless you all.

One Year Ago, Time waits for no one. I have since moved on from Doctors Hospital in Lanham,MD. I still have the pleasure of working with his two partners, That tragic day still burns brightly in my memory, but the memory of our freindship we shared lessen the pain. May God continue to bless the Emery Family & Friends. Gone but never forgotten

Thank you for being so kind, and awesome. As a patient, I didn't think people like you existed. You and your kindness will resonate within me, and I will do the same for those who cross my path as you did for me.

Nearly two months have passed since that tragic day that Brian left this world... and I only recently learned of the accident that took his life. I knew Brian since his first days at the Univeristy and unlike an earlier time our paths now seldomed crossed. I was shocked, and saddened for his son and family that loved him. He will be missed by all those who knew him as friend or physician.

I met Brian about a hundred years ago when I worked at Whitaker Drugs and he was a pharmacist at our sister store, Penn Taft. I remember he asked me to bring him back a t-shirt from my annual vacation in Dewey Beach, DE, so I did - a baby blue Rehoboth Beach t - not knowing that he actually had a real connection to Rehoboth Beach! Brian was an all-around good guy and always the perfect gentleman. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. He will be missed.

I worked with Dr. Emery as his Main Scrub Tech (ENT Service) at Doctors Hospital in Lanham,MD. I had the pleasure to assist him in his 1st & His last surgical case. I am truly heart broken over his loss. My days in Room 5 (Our Room) will never be the same. God bless his family and Rest in Peace my friend.

Brian's abilities and commitments as a Dad, doctor, friend, and fan will stay in the hearts and memories of many, living long beyond his tragically shortened lifetime. The ultimate "Pittsburgh guy" despite living in Maryland for many years, he leaves for me vivid memories of tailgating, gourmet recipes, roasted garlic through a press : ), and the warm autumn sunshine on him and Matt tossing a football. I hope there is Dogfish head and Pitt boosterism in his afterlife.

I was one of Dr. Emery's patients in Greenbelt, and was dismayed to learn of his unfortunate passing. In the hospital where I am a volunteer, he always took time to speak and pass along a bright word or two. Not only was he an excellent doctor but a very kind and gracious man. I will miss him.

I was a patient of Dr. Emery's in a clinical trial at UMMS Ent clinic. The relationship was more than Dr/Patient as I'm sure it was with all his patients. We exchanged our latest "finds" in new places to eat in the area and he guided me Simon's. A great place no longer in business, but owned by another of his patients. His loss is a real tragedy, because of his talents, his humanity, and his professional skills. I want to extend sympathy to his family, fiancee, and friends.

I grew up around Brian at the Duquesne Annex bingo near Pittsburgh, PA. Brian was ALWAYS good to me. Twice a week, he was like an older brother to me, thank you Brian. From the comments, I can see that he was this way with everybody, not a surprise. You will be missed.

Coach Brian, as he was known to us, was a passionate basketball coach, who truly loved working with his son's team. He worked hard to be a fair teacher and leader, and for that, we are grateful. Our prayers are with Matt, Kathi and Susan, and all those who cared about him.

I first met Dr. Emery at UMMS when It was suspected that I had thyroid cancer. He did an FNA in the office that came back negative. He felt strongly that I should still have surgery. Luckily for me, he was right. He had to operate 2 times to make sure it was gone. HE SAVED MY LIFE! When he left UMMS my husband and I were very upset. He became a very special person to both of us. I have never met a more caring and compassionate doctor. He will be missed.

Brian, was a great teacher and co-worker. The interns and myself learned a great many things from him. His love for his son Matt also put a smile on his face when Brian talked about his son. He will be missed by both the people he worked with when he was at the University ENT and by all the people who he touched.

Good friend of Buddy and Lynn Clark. Brian and Matt would vacation on and annual basis at their home in Rehoboth Beach Delaware. Brian would cook dinner on those occasions and always invited us for one of his specialties.
