Seen Farmer at his last venue with Mule at "le trianon" paris France just before a fantastic concert. He was 2 meters from us on the boulevard as we were waiting to enter. The concert was memorable and surely the audience applause was also for him as he was considered the fifth member of the band! Helas we were to shy to ask for an autograph! he won't be forgotten!

Brian was always kind and willing to take photos with his fans and Famuley. Here he remarked on how I creatively cut his Farmland FX shirt. You could always count on Farmer for a witty remark and an occasional set list and pick. Love ya Farmer. Can't imagine what it will be like without you there keeping a close watch on Warren's guitar needs and doing the sound check. You were certainly tops in your field and will be missed on so many levels.

He wasn't one of the stars of the any of the bands he was associated with, but he obviousley added so much character and personality. Especially to the Mule and the ABB shows, see him up there working, sometimes he'd pull off a few licks. Big grin on his face, the few people that were there all screaming, FARMER!
I met him last year at the Hartford ABB show and I felt so proud to say I shook his hand, you would have thought I just met Warren. I am glad to say I did meet Brian, I'm glad I got to see him on the stage.

There is always somebody better at all of our jobs, I think WH will have a hard time finding someone as good as Brian Farmer.

Our deepest condolences and prayers to the entire Farmer family. I have known Brian since 1981 and we have been friends since. We toured together and we were roommates on the road and there was never a more giving happy man to be around then Brian. He lived his life to the fullest and passed that on to everyone he came in contact with. I worked for years with his brother Lee who passed away several years ago and now Brian. My heartfelt sadness of his passing is hard to process but his life and spirit will always remain with me. May his family find solace in prayer. Rest in peace my friend.

August 29, 2014

I'll always remember Farmer being such a good sport about the long running mix- up by folks thinking he was Warren Haynes and how he showed me his backstage pass/ ID when he met me at a backstage gate to take a bequest of an old limited re- release Johnny Cash album that I'd finally gotten to him. I looked at him and said "You don't really look like him ( Warren) at all, but are you really Brian Farmer?" Then he went to looking over the tracklist on that LP and said "Good! "Delia's Gone" is on here!" My favorite somewhat obscure Johnny Cash song too! Farmer was one of the sincerely kindest people I've ever been blessed to meet and will be missed.God bless his family, friends, and loved ones everywhere they may be.

I regret having omitted his grandchildren my prayers are for. I am sorry, I was so upset at hearing of Brian*s passing. But for these young children, I offer special prayers, as death is such a difficult concept for them to understand, the sudden disappearance of someone they love. My prayers for their parents, his children, as they try to comfort the babes during this time. May your children bring you comfort and strength. For the grandchildren: what a blessing, though you knew him a short time of your lives, to have had such a joyous and fun loving spirit for a grandfather! Your parents will keep him alive by their stories and memories, and as you grow up, the memories and tributes to your grandfather will as well. For his mother, there are no words sufficient, for it is unnatural to lose your child. My heart aches for you, and I hope that all the prayers and tributes to your son, in some small way, brings you comfort. And the fact that he loved his life: from working with *The Man In Black* and June Carter Cash, to *The Man In Motion*, Gov*t Mule, The Allman Brothers, Phil Lesh and Friends, and all the other musicians and their fans, he was both revered and respected. Not many people are blessed to be able to say that. So, with time, may all the joyous moments shared bring comfort and peace. <3 all ways and all ways <3

Brian, You were the hardest working man I have ever known, and yet you did it with a smile and a smirk. Self effacing and loving to a fault. You always welcomed me no matter the time or the place, and you always leant me a hand no matter how busy you were. You even flew with me in a giant slingshot at Darian one year, as we both screamed like little girls. Thank you for being a friend and an example. Rest well. You finally have a day off.

Sending my love to Farmer's loved ones-family, friends, musicians, fans, and FaMuley throughout the world....
Those of us to whom he was a familiar figure at the shows will always hold him in a special place in our hearts and memories; and I give thanks for all he did to bring the music that has brought so much joy to our lives, and united us so deeply.
He truly leaves behind a legacy of love. <3

At times like this many of us feel a part of the family, especially those of us who have seen Brian over the years "orchestrating the stage" at Govt Mule and Allman Brothers shows. Heck, we just saw him at Peach Fest, and it's hard to believe he's gone. It's true, Brian, that you were, in a way, larger than life, and as willing as you were to acknowledge and engage the audience, you were first and foremost a craftsman. There's a reason a musician of Warren Haynes' caliber kept you by his side those many years. We'll miss you, brother, your wit, your willingness to reach out to those of us in the seats, and the way you kept all that equipment humming along. Peace to you, comfort to your family, and hey - save me a good seat up there, eh? Til we meet again...PastorJeff, West Chester, PA

My deepest condolences and love to all of Brian's family, close friends, and all who knew him. I will never forget the huge smile he gave me as I was leaning on the Beacon stage, NYE 2012, and then chatting & joking with him @ IE5. What a wonderful, friendly, funny, kind and thoughtful man he was…a beautiful soul. Will always remember his smile and sense of humor. And of course, all of his hard work in making sure everything went perfectly right for everyone in the bands, and us fans. Thank you so much, Brian, for lighting up so many people's lives, you will be so missed, and it won't be the same without you for us…yet something tells me you'll figure out a way to let your soul shine through, letting us know you're still around. Sending my sincere condolences to Brian`s family. Be humbled by knowing that Brian was loved by a lot of people. who will remember and miss him almost as deeply as you do. He was a wizard of his craft, had a gift for gab, and enjoyed life as it was delivered. I always enjoyed watching Farmer as much as the band he was tending too. Words cannot justly discibe what the heart feels, but we know when we`ve been touched by another soul, and Brian gave that touch to many many people.
