Brian was an awesome person, always made me feel welcome when I came to visit. He had a quirky sense of humour and knew how to make me laugh with interesting stories. He was my good friend Donna's soul mate of 56 years, and made her incredible happy. My condolences to the family.

Donna, Dana, Andy,
Brian was not just my cousin, he was like a brother to me.He was always there for me.I constantly benefited from his generosity and kindness.
When we first arrived in Canada from Jamaica Brian and Donna met us at the airport with winter jackets for all.
What a kind and thoughtful gesture but that is just the way they both are.
Mr. Bri you will be greatly missed.

So shocked and saddened by the news of Brian's passing. Simply the coolest guy on the entire planet, Brian had the gift of making everyone feel comfortable around him always. I first met him through Dad's company, where he was gracious with his time towards the "boss's son" when he didn't have to be. That grew into many hours of floor hockey, pub crawls, with countless laughs and story telling in between. I simply can't believe he's left us; my sincerest condolences to Donna, Andy and Dana; my heart truly aches for you all. He will certainly be greatly missed by all who knew him, God bless...

Dear Goring Family,
So sorry to hear of Brian's passing. I worked with him many years ago at the Board. He was a magnet with his upbeat personality and quirky sense of humour. Really, the coolest guy on the planet. Saw him occasionally at the pub he frequented. He always took time to stop at our table and say hello and tell us funny stories. He will never really be gone for those of us who will cherish our memories of him and keep him in our hearts.

Some words from Reto, Devin and Dagmar from Liechtenstein
We want to let you Donna, Dana, Andy and family know, that we are with our thoughts with you today, when you say good bye to Brian, even if we are over 5000 miles away.
In October 1991 in Antigua, our wonderful 25 year friendship began. Brian came up to Reto and me, explaining us tourists, that we have the wrong towels at the beach! Where are you from?, was his question, and so it all started. He was interested and wanted to know everything about our country. Since then we have met in Vancouver, went together to Alaska, met again in Antigua, Brian and Donna visited us several times in Liechtenstein, we made trips to Italy, Austria, and always had a lot of fun together, with many laughs and stories.
We were so happy and excited to welcome Brian and Donna and their friends on September 16, in our home in Liechtenstein. Sadly, it's not going happen this way. Brian we miss you and we are very sad.

Donna,Dana & Andy,
I was shocked and saddened to learn of Brian's passing. While it's been many years since I have seen any of you, the Goring family has a special place in the memories of my childhood years.Annual trips to Liberty Lake, Saturdays at the cricket field, BBQs and parties at the Goring home. I remember Brian as the consummate host, fun loving, inclusive and generous to all. My Dad Bruce could not have had a better friend than Brian, and I know they remained close up until his own passing in May 2001. If a person's legacy is how they treat family and friends, Brian stands tall. Genuine. My thoughts are with you as you remember and honour a great man.

Dear Goring Family:
I am so very sorry to hear of Brian's passing. He was a really great guy -- such a good sense of humour and so fun to be around. I think of him sometimes when I put an item down on my living room coffee table that he expertly refinished for me all those years ago when we worked together at WCB. What a loss - my heart goes out to you all.

Donna, Dana & Andy,
Such sad news... I have very fond memories of many summers at Liberty Lake, cricket games, house parties, and Brian always being there as Dad's friend and "chauffeur". Brian will always be part of our family history and while I'm sure the days ahead will be difficult, I hope that you are all comforted by your memories of him and what a truly special and original person he was.
