FARMINGTON - Brian Keith "Hoyt" Harper Jr., 24, of 393 W. Court St., Farmington, Ill., passed away Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, due to complications from asthma.
He was born July 21, 1987, in Peoria, the son of Brian Keith Sr. and Charetta (Raines) Harper.
Surviving are his father, Keith of Canton; his mother, Charetta of Bartonville; paternal grandparents, William L. and Vicki Harper of Hanna City; one brother, Cody Harper of Farmington; one sister, Ashley Harper of Canton; his dearly loved niece, Sophia Harper; his uncles and aunts; and his many dearly loved friends, especially Derick Prince, who tried his hardest to help Brian in his final moments.
He was self-employed, working in construction.
Brian's life would seem too short to many, but for those who were touched by him, they understood the quality of existence far exceeds quantity of time in which you live it.
His gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around him.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, with visitation two hours prior. The Rev. Dave Utt will officiate. Cremation rites will follow the services, with burial of ashes at a later date.
