Brian HUNTLEY Obituary

Published by Edmonton Journal on Jun. 16, 2018.
HUNTLEY, Brian Ronald
It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Ronald Huntley announces his passing, after a courageous battle with cancer, on June 5, 2018 at the age of 51. Following many years on the move as a child of a military family, after graduating from McMaster University with his Chemical Engineering and Management degree, he and his wife settled in the town of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta where they both worked for Dow Chemical and made many friends. His sense of humour, and quick sarcastic wit will be missed by many and his sense of adventure was admired by us all. Whether it was traveling to exotic places, scuba diving, cross country skiing or playing disc golf, Brian did as much as he could even up to the end of his battle.
Brian will be lovingly remembered by his best friend and wife of 27 years, Dorota, his daughter Kristin and son Kyle. Brian will be sadly missed by his father Ronald, sister Carrie Fortier (Rock Fortier), sister Teresa Wereley (Rob Pete), his mother-in-law Teresa Sluski and father-in-law Ted Sluski. He will also be fondly remembered by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Brian was predeceased by his mother Jo-Ann.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Fort Saskatchewan EMS, Fire Department, RCMP, and staff at the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital for their incredible efforts and support.
Memorial donations in Brian's honour may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute.
