Services for Brian R. Laverenz, 57, Moline, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Homewood Evangelical Free Church, Moline. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Mr. Laverenz died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. He was employed the past 24 years as an equipment specialist at Rock Island Arsenal. He traveled throughout the country in support of numerous technical military projects managed by the U.S. Army. He was born Dec. 13, 1944, in Moline. He married Irina Makarova in 2001 in Hawaii. During the Vietnam War, he served in the Army. Memorials may be made to the church. Survivors include his wife, Irina; daughter, Jodie Poling, New Port Richey, Fla.; son, Brian C., Guyton, Ga.; six grandchildren; mother, Berta Laverenz, Moline; and sister, Mary Laverenz, Moline.
