Brian Lovett Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Apr. 26 to Apr. 27, 2023.
Brian Wayne Lovett, 74, passed away in the early morning hours of April 22, 2023, at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Brian was born March 16, 1949, in Collingwood, NJ, grew up in in Mt. Laurel, and eventually Medford, NJ. Brian loved telling tales of his adventures as a young man surfing and scuba diving down the shore, and of course dirt biking which he continued to enjoy well into his later years.

Brian met the true love of his life, wife Mary Virginia "Gini" Lovett (Robinson) while attending Lenape High School in New Jersey. He continued his education at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Brian and Gini soon married in 1975 and moved to Colorado in 1976 where Brian fulfilled his passion of exploring and hiking in the mountains he so loved.

Brian is survived by his (former) wife Gini, son Craig T. Lovett, daughter Kelly D. Lovett, grandson Gage T. Gancarski, and sister Karen D. Lovett. He is also survived by his niece Caroline J. [Chad] Daves (Lovett), their daughter, Brooke, and his NJ cousins whom he missed greatly. Brian felt truly blessed having Gini closely by his side once again. Gini has remained a constant best friend and has provided immeasurable, loving support throughout the many years.

Brian is predeceased in death by his father, Harry T. Lovett, mother June E. Lovett (Kielhorn), sister Marilyn S. Maloney (Lovett), and brother Bruce W. Lovett.

Many heartfelt thanks to Pastor Timothy Hopkins, Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, for his friendship and spiritual guidance. He nurtured Brian's interest in the bible and undoubtedly provided him great solace.

Family and friends will celebrate Brian's life most fittingly in his favorite place in the mountains, followed by a gathering in town. Time and place to be determined. Please keep in touch with family for details. For those far away, enjoy not a martini, but a "marbiggie" in Brian's honor.

Thank you, Brian, for a life well lived, and for the many selfless years taking care of family, especially your love and devotion for brother Bruce. You will be missed every day.

Blessed to have spent time with Brian he was a man of character. He read through the Bible in less than a year, a great accomplishment. A great friend that I look forward to seeing in glory.
