Brian Keith Mackey Jr, age 27, of Brick, NJ passed away on May 20, 2018. He was born at Point Pleasant Hospital and lived his entire life in Brick, NJ. Brian was an electrician and was certified in alarm installation; he was truly compassionate and had a gentle soul. He loved helping others, spending time with family, being outdoors, he enjoyed fishing, playing pool, working out, cooking, and writing.
Surviving Brian are his beloved mother Patricia Shave and her husband Cliff, his loving father Brian Mackey Sr. and his wife Beth; brother Robert; half-brothers, Patrick, Seamus, and Liam; his step brother Cliffy; his step sisters, Heather, and Kristin; his Aunt Roseann, Uncle Bill; and his girlfriend Jackie. Also surviving Brian are many other aunts, uncles, and many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road Brick, NJ 08723 on Friday May 25, 2018 from 3pm to 8pm for a viewing. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday May 26, 2018, 11am at the Church of Visitation, Brick. Cremation will be private. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Brian’s name to Elks Camp Moore Special Needs, NJ State Elks Handicapped Children’s Committee 665 Rahway Ave PO Box 1596 Woodbridge, NJ 07095.
