To the Poehler Family. I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Brian. I have fond memories of him in Richfield growing up. I always had the biggest crush on Brian. I remember how nice he was to me. Although I have not seen Brian for 28 years, it's wonderful to find out what a good man he became and how much his family meant to him. My heartfelt sympathy is with his wife and children and his entire family and friends. He will always be a cherished part of my memories when we were kids. My prayers go out to you. God bless.

I have so many fond memories growing up and playing sports in Richfield. Somehow Brian was always on my team or on the best opposing team. He was a supportive team mate, fierce competitor and a loyal friend. He carried a larger than life persona and will be missed dearly.

Missy and Family

You are so very present in my thoughts and prayers. I feel much of your pain in this loss. Brian was so much more than only my nephew. He was the one who helped my build my home, offering so much of his time and expertise. He was the one who came out of his way to pick me up for family gatherings when I needed a ride. He was the one of whom I could ask anything and he would gladly try to help out. He was the one who gave his total attention and engagement in anything I had to say. He was the one who never had a bad thing to say about anyone. He was more than my nephew; more like my brother and good friend. I will miss hearing an across-the-yard call of "Uncle Jimmy" as he always called me. He was not one to ignore someone and wait for them to say hi. He would approach with genuine caring about the meeting. While we will surely miss these qualities of Brian's that we experienced in his presence, we have the memories and the opportunity to build our lives knowing that we had the opportunity of knowing him personally. He has moved on but he has left us with his legacy and I am better for having known him while he was with us. God bless all the family,as well as all His children.
