Brittan Bardol Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 21, 2016.
Brittan E. (Huntington) Bardol, age 34, passed away in the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Rutland, Vermont on May 8, 1982, she was the daughter of James L. and Shannon N. (Bascue) Huntington. She was raised in Whitehall, New York and as a young girl became an outstanding athlete, with a strong focus on softball. At Ticonderoga High School as a Varsity pitcher in softball, she posted a 62-11 record with 771 strikeouts in 492 innings. She threw 18 shutouts and eight no-hitters. She was a three-time Champlain Valley Athletic Conference All Star in softball. In 1999 and 2000 she was an All-State selection and the Sentinel softball team was ranked #1 by the New York State Sports Writers Association. She was also a four-year participant in the New York Summer Empire State Games where she was a two-time medalist in the javelin throw. She graduated in 2000 and was awarded a full scholarship to play softball for Franklin Pierce College in New Hampshire, where in her first collegiate game, she pitched a no hitter. After transferring to Framingham State University and settling in Norwood, Massachusetts, Brit met her husband to be, Michael J. Bardol, in 2005. In addition to attending classes, she began working alongside Mike as the Office Manager of Bardol Concrete. She completed her course work at Framingham State in 2006, earning her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Brit and Mike were married on August 28, 2009 and shortly after welcomed their first daughter, Molly. Brittan loved being a Mom and spent 4 years at home caring for Molly. She returned to the working world in 2014, serving as the office manager for Clifford Paving in Walpole. In 2015, she and Mike welcomed their second daughter, Madeline. Her girls were Brit's pride and joy, she was a wonderful mom, spending countless hours playing with them. One of her favorite things to do was experiment in the kitchen, which usually resulted in fantastic food. She enjoyed watching cooking shows to gather new recipes and loved trying them out with family and friends. As a young woman, she developed a great sense of humor and was the person that everyone wanted to be around. Her kindness and caring nature led her to become a great wife, mom, daughter, sister and granddaughter, Brittan was a giving and kind friend to everyone she met. We were so fortunate to have had her in our lives and we will truly miss her. Beloved wife of Michael J. Bardol. Loving mother of Molly J. Bardol and Madeline M. Bardol. Devoted daughter of James L. and Shannon N. (Bascue) Huntington of Whitehall, New York. Cherished sister of Jamie C. and his wife Sherry Huntington of Whitehall, New York and Brooke L. and her husband Christopher Smith of Phoenix, Arizona. Loving granddaughter to Nancy S. Bascue of Whitehall New York. Loving aunt of Jake, Easton, Graceyn, Bella, Reagan, and Karsten. Daughter-In-Law of Jim and Barbara Bardol of Walpole and Sister-In-Law of Kerri Bardol of Waltham and Sean and his wife Diana Bardol of West Roxbury.
