Brittany Salato Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 16, 2025.
Brittany Salato, 33, of Enola, PA, passed away on May 19, 2025, at her residence in Pleasantville, NJ.

Brittany was born on January 10, 1992, in Springville, NY, to Lori Salato and Kristopher Storms. She was lovingly raised by her mother and stepfather, Doug Swenson, who, along with his family, embraced Brittany as one of their own and gave her a life filled with care, support, and love.

Brittany grew up in Enola, PA, and graduated from East Pennsboro High School in 2010. She had incredible artistic talent and decided to push her creativity at the Capital Area School for the Arts in her senior year. Brittany quickly discovered her passion for cooking and staging beautiful dishes early in her career. In 2017, she moved to New Jersey, where she flourished as a chef at various high-end restaurants and steakhouses in Atlantic City.

Brittany cherished every moment spent with her family and friends. Whether she was cooking, gaming, going to the arcade or movies, walking on the beach, or simply relaxing with loved ones, she radiated joy and warmth. Her compassion extended deeply to both people and animals, especially cats and horses. Brittany held a special place in her heart for Cayuga, NY, the hometown of her maternal family. Many of her fondest memories were made on Cayuga Lake, where she spent countless summers fishing, swimming, and tubing with those she loved most.

Though Brittany was taken from us far too soon, we take comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her loved ones that preceded her, including maternal grandparents, Louis and Lorraine Salato, and her paternal grandfather, Duaine Swenson.

A celebration of Brittany's life will be announced by her family at a later time.
