MANEKIN , Broderick S. On November 2, 2007, BRODERICK STEVEN MANEKIN, passed away of
natural causes while visiting West Palm Beach, Florida. His loving family and a few close friends were there to comfort him. Broderick was born on June 8, 1989 in Baltimore, Maryland where he lived until moving to Middleburg, Virginia in 2004. Broderick attended grammar school at Ruxton Country School in Owings Mills, Maryland, prep school at the Knox School in St. James, New York and then attended Loudoun Valley High School in Purcellville, Virginia. Broderick had many talents and was just beginning to expand his future potential. He loved cars, tennis and horses and was an accomplished polo player. This summer he was employed at The Red Fox Inn in Middleburg, Virginia and enjoyed learning the business and working with his new colleagues. His desire was to continue his education in real estate, restaurant management or medicine. These were the fields that brought him excitement and pleasure. Broderick had an infectious smile and always a kind word for everyone. He enjoyed people young and old and considered them his friends. Broderick is survived by his mother, Barbara A. Sharp of Middleburg, Virginia, his father Dr. Steven F. Manekin of Baltimore, Maryland, his brother John L. Manekin of Park City, Utah and his grandfather John R. Sharp of Clearwater, Florida.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday November 30, 2007 at 11:00am at the
Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 105 E.
Washington Street, Middleburg, Virginia 20118. Memorial donations may be made
to the Broderick Manekin Charitable Trust established with the Middleburg Bank.

Dear Barbara,
We were both shocked and saddened to hear of Broderick's passing. It seems like yesterday that I was babysitting the boys. As a boy, Broderick was so sensitive, caring and full of energy! He will truly be deeply missed. Our prayers go out to you and your family.

Barbara,

We are so sorry to hear of Broderick's passing. It doesn't seem possible. We remember him fondly as part of the Knox School's musical ride and enjoyed his infectious smile.

I wanted you to know we are all thinking of you and are sorry we won't be at the memorial service. Maggie is out of the country and sends her love and condolences.
