No words can express how sorry I am for your loss. Brooke was such a beautiful, loving angel who was loved by all that were blessed to meet her. She was also blessed to have two of the most wonderful parents I have ever met.

I am so sorry for your loss. I too lost children. I had 2 sets of twins. My 1st Set Were Identical girls born in 1997 and Fraternal twins boy and girl died in 2000. It will take time and it is better for the family to talk about her. Don't let people shut you down when you talk about your Daughter. It is a great therapy for all.

To the Heisler family.
You do not know me. That is not important.
I wish to share with you, a poem that was recited at my sons' burial May 23, 2009. He was 23.
GOD'S LOAN (edited for the feminine)
I'll lend to you for a little time,
A child of "mine" he said,
For you to love the while she lives
And mourn for when she's dead.
It may be six or seven years,
Or twenty-two or three,
But will you , till I call for her
Take care of her for me?
She'll bring her charms to gladden you,
And should her stay be brief,
You'll have her lovely memories
As solace for your grief.
I cannot promise she will stay,
Since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn.
I've looked this wide world over,
In my search for teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowned Life's lanes
I have selected you.
Now will you give her all your love,
Not think the labour vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call
To take her back again.
I fancied that I hear them say,
"Dear Lord, Thy Will Be done"
For all the joys "Thy Child" shall bring,
The risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter her with tenderness
We'll love her while we may,
And for the happiness we've known
Forever grateful stay.
But should the angels call for her

We will always remember Brooke. She was always Lauren's favorite friend even when we moved away and they didn't get to see each other that often. Brooke was very special to us and we will never forget her. I'll always remember our play dates, their first swimming lessons together and all the other wonderful memories!
