Brooklyn Campbell (Danko) Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Oct. 29 to Nov. 2, 2022.
Brooke was born in Gilroy, CA and died in San Marcos, CA. She moved to Juneau, Alaska at the age of 8. She graduated from Juneau Douglas High School in l998. Working in the dental field, she was known for her ability to be organized, efficient and to keep a busy practice going. Brooke's true legacy was her love and dedication to her five children. She played with them, supported them in their various sports and activities, home schooled them, celebrated every holiday and event, and dedicated her time to making their home a place to thrive. Brooke had deep faith in her Lord. Her best and happiest years were when she was fully engaged in her church family, prayer and study groups. Brooke was funny, smart, creative, and artistic. She was fearless and would do anything from remodeling a house, creating a costume, putting on a party, or walking the beach. She loved campfires, roasting marshmallows, collecting heart rocks, playing funny pranks, glamping in the desert, and watching hummingbirds. Brooke is survived by her husband, Akos Danko; stepchildren Madlyn and Lucas Danko; children Taylor, Karmen, and Kaleb Campbell; parents Kirk and Paula McMeen; mother Susan Kmitta-Reese; sisters Mona Gargano and Brittney Caulfield. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to The Aware Shelter (giving.awareak.org) or other women's shelter in your community.

I am so grateful to have known you, Brooke. I remember being a 14 year old girl, walking into Annie Kaill's, and you training me to do their inventory. I loved babysitting Taylor, Karmy and Kaleb. You were so kind and patient with them all.

Thank you for everything you have done for me. Love you always.

So sorry to say goodbye to Brooke. I watched her raise her family and spread her joy and love throughout this community. She was a great neighbor who went out of her way to be helpful and kind and I´m so happy her legacy lives on through the lives of her children.

Mom I love you and will forever miss you. You were my best friend and I loved being around you and being silly together. You showed me how to be the woman I am today and I will always be grateful for that. I wouldn't be me if it weren't for you. We all miss you so much.

Brooke we know and pray daily for you and the family that we will honor you and be joyful in the Lord! God has you in his real, we may not understand or ever want you to be away from us but we will let you Rest In Peace. I love you and all that you truly are, we are Blessed by the memories of everything you did for us! We laughed at all of your stories, and your silly faces and pranks. It´s hard to ever say goodbye, so I say I will see you again in a cloud shouting Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah! I miss you so
