Bruce Brace Obituary
University Hospital at the age of 59. Survived by his loving wife Johnna
(nee Simon). Deeply missed by son Wayne (Marylou) and daughter Michelle
(Steve) Colwell. Cherished by grandchildren Stephen, Paige, Eric, James and
Isaac. He will also be remembered by numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and
nephews in Ontario and Newfoundland. A bus driver with Go Transit and TTC
for almost 40 years, Bruce was a proud Newfoundlander and will be sadly
missed by many. He will be remembered for his easy going nature and for his
love of the Detroit Red Wings. Cremation has taken place. Friends are
invited to visitation at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. East on
Friday November 5th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to
The Canadian Liver Foundation, or the Hamilton-Burlington SPCA would be
appreciated by the family.

Dear Johnna'
Thinking of you at this sorrowful time. I've known Bruce for 20 yrs. Three things I will always remember about Bruce, his laughter, his readiness to talk to you about anything, and where his passengers were concerned, he would say "it's all in the 'tude' ", whether he would do what they were asking.

My heartfelt condolence on your loss. I only knew Bruce for a short time at GO Transit, but whenever I saw him he always had a huge smile on his face. He will be missed by all.

Memories memories memories, my childhood just full of memories with my incredible grandfather, whom I will remember forever. Dear Johnna, Michelle, and Wayne,
My deepest thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.
Uncle Bruce was always a kind and gentle person and I thouroughly enjoyed all the moments I got to spend with him. I remember being a child in Newfoundland when he came to visit. I was told of this "Uncle" who was visiting from the mainland, so me and his other neice, Marlene, waitied impatiently for him to arrive. When he came in the driveway and opened the door he gave us the biggest hug. I will always have that memory and remember it with the warmest thoughts. I'm thinking of you all and know that after this life he will still be touching others with his gentle hugs.
Lets keep in touch. Life is way to short.

To be in Bruce's company was something to be cherished forever, His smile and laugh was something very special. My only regret is that we spent too little time together. He is a brother who will be greatly missed.
