SANFORD — Bruce Donald Caskie, 63 of 1700 Phillips Drive, formally of Reidsville, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at Duke Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rudy Holland officiating.
Mr. Caskie was born on September 22, 1947 to Mrs. Jean Sterner Caskie and the late Donald Cassell Caskie, Sr. Bruce was of the Baptist faith and attended Grace Christian Church. He enjoyed playing golf, working outside in the yard, and traveling to Florida. Bruce enjoyed living life to the fullest but most of all he was a family man that loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Fay L. Caskie of the home; his children, Jeff Caskie of Greensboro, and Dawn Rock and husband, Darbey of Brown Summit; step-children, Ray Jordan, Jr. of Largo, FL, Rodney Jordan and wife, Shannon of Merrillville, IN, Sheree Carter and husband, Frank of Stokesdale; grandchild, Dylan Rock; step-grandchildren, Brittany Jordan, Ray Jordan III, Isaac Jordan, Ashleigh Jordan, Trenton Jordan, Kaileigh Jordan, Peyton Carter and Ethan Carter; mother, Jean Sterner Caskie; brothers, Joseph Caskie and wife, Kathy, Donald Caskie, Jr. and wife, Crystal, Michael Caskie and wife, Nancy and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March, 14, 2011 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Betsy and Don Kelly, 207 Strawberry Road, Reidsville, NC 27320.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bruce's honor to the Leukemia Research Foundation, 3520 Lake Avenue, Suite #202, Wilmette, IL 60091-1064.
