Bruce Davis Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 10, 2018.
Bruce Addison Davis, avid gardener, chef extraordinaire, life of the party, life-long fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, and accomplished traveler, died suddenly at 59 on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at his suburban Chicago home.

Bruce was born in Warren, Ohio to Edward and Betty Davis on May 11, 1958 and graduated from Warren Harding, later attending Youngstown State University. He married Karen Sabol in December of 1986 and loved and raised her daughter Keri, who he adopted as soon as Summit County would approve. He is preceded in death by his father and leaves, besides his mother, wife and daughter Keri (Patrick) Malia, his sister Joyce and brother Edward (Judy) of Columbus, Ohio plus several nieces and a favorite nephew.

A Print Production Manager, Bruce worked in advertising at a variety of agencies in Northeastern Ohio and the Chicagoland area.

As well as serving as Co-President of Hudson Heritage for two terms, Mr. Davis had chaired the committee for the new educational wing of the Hudson Congregational Church in the 1990s and was understandably proud of the results.

There will be no public visitation; a public celebration of life will be held at a later date at Hudson Congregational Church in Hudson, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you have a good dinner at a locally owned restaurant, drink the good bottle of wine that you've been saving or spend time with loved ones after turning off your phone.

Karen, Keri and family. Words cannot express the sadness in my heart that I feel for your loss. Bruce was one of my most favorite people in the whole world. The laughter and spirit that he shared, along with his one of a kind wit and humor, was so infectious. Even though we were not in touch that much over the years, thoughts of him made me laugh all the time. I treasure all our memories of, as he would say it..."good times, good times". He was delicious in every way. My love is with you now, and always. Please keep in touch. Love, Phyllis 505-660-1709
