Bruce E. Kempf

Moorestown - Bruce E. Kempf of Moorestown, NJ passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at age 88. He was born in Kane, PA on December 28, 1931 and is predeceased by his parents, Michael L. and Esther Elizabeth (nee Elmquist), and by his loving first wife, Joan Mary (nee Keller), the mother of his five children, and his sister Norma. Bruce is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret; his children, Scott M. (Maureen); Bryan R. (Lolita); Randall J.; Lauren D. Ferry (Don); and Christopher E. (Deidre); his grandchildren, Timothy J. and Rebecca P., Erin Jones (Phil) and Elizabeth, Brock Edward and Holt Richard; and his great granddaughter Annalise; and his niece Susan Staff.

Bruce joined the U. S. Navy after High School, serving during the Korean War conflict. He graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He had a 42-year career with RCA, Martin Marietta, GE and Lockheed Martin. He began his career in Camden, NJ, transferred to Van Nuys, CA, where his five children were born, and back east to Moorestown, NJ, retiring as Director, AEGIS Weapon System Production Programs Naval Systems, one of only four Directors at that time. Bruce was an early advocate for Women's Rights, had many interests, and supported numerous charities throughout his lifetime. He loved his Nittany Lions. Bruce was a very loving, loyal and patient father, husband and friend. He was a true gentleman who was loved, admired and will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Funeral Services and burial is private. A memorial celebration will be held in Bruce's honor when conditions allow to celebrate his life.
