Bruce ‘Levy’ D. Levenhagen Sr, 69, passed away peacefully at home in Neenah, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, February 12, 2022.
Born June 27, 1952, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to the late Harold and Emilie ‘Mil’ Levenhagen. Bruce along with his brother, Torrey, took over Levenhagen Oil from their father and continued its operations to serve the Fox Valley community for over 60 years.
He was as successful an entrepreneur as he was a disciple for the Lord. It has been said that more preaching was done from his small office in Neenah than any pulpit in the whole of the valley. He was patient, kind, never quick to judge, and although he could talk your ear off for hours, always took the time to listen and truly understand what it would be like walking a mile in the shoes of the person sitting across from him.
Bruce’s faith and love for the Lord was perhaps only rivaled by that of his mother’s. He was unhurried to act, but quick to pray before making decisions or faced with adversity. Bruce was heavily involved with efforts to establish and grow several churches in the community over the years and through doing so touched the lives of countless individuals.
He was always making himself available to provide support however he could, or at the least connect the right people with the right resources and timing in such ways they were often described as miraculous. He lived his life as a polished lens, letting the light of the Lord shine through with unparalleled brilliance, never ashamed to bear his testimony and always eager to share the message of salvation.
Bruce is now home in Heaven holding his grandson Abel, watching down over his beloved wife of 41 years, Carol; four children: Bruce Jr. (Katie), Kyle (Sarah), Steven and his special friend, Rachel, Emilie (Chris); granddaughter; Shae; brother, Torrey (Wendy); nephew and nieces; Matthew, Amy (Ben) Stephens, Alexandra (Mark) Misun.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Calvary Bible Church, 1450 Oakridge Rd., Neenah. Visitation will be held at the church from Noon until the hour of service. The service will be live streamed on the Facebook page for Westgor Funeral Home: http://www.facebook.com/westgorfuneralhomes
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in memory of Bruce for Parkinson’s Research.

Dear family, I only got to know your beloved from reading this lovely posted notice. While reading, I felt moved to send my condolences to you, and to his church family. I'm moved to comment and say, this is a definition of what a real man is. Strong, yet gentle in heart and deed, protective, loving and caring, a dedicated and dutiful provider to his family and community, and above all a willing servant of his Lord.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I spoke with Bruce only a handful of times over the years, as I worked mostly with Torrey. In each of those few times Bruce and I spoke, our conversations were always filled with concern over reaching others for Christ and expanding His kingdom. What a great legacy; how blessed the Levenhagen family truly is. I know one day we'll all be gathered together in heaven. It will be a joyful celebration, Amen?

I am in shock and with half breaths at this sad news. My family and I will continue to pray for Bruce and Carol, family and friends. Bruce and I pass along songs that the other would have to hear - then we would pass along to others we knew. Bruce-you will always be a part of my heart.
