Bruce Mourant Obituary
Mourant, Bruce (George) April 12, 1939 - July 09, 2010 We sadly announce the passing of (George) Bruce Mourant on Friday July 9, 2010, while on vacation in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Bruce will be greatly missed for his friendly disposition and sense of humour by all who knew him. Bruce is survived by his wife of 46 years Patricia, his beloved children, Christine (Pierre), son Michael (Melinda) and adored grandson Blake. Also surviving Bruce are his sister Patti Hart (Toronto), sister-in-law Susan Lester (Thunder Bay) and brother-in-law James Glandfield (Toronto). Bruce was predeceased by his mother, Georgette Mourant, his brother Louis Mourant, brother-in-law Ron Lester and in-laws Dot and Rolly Glandfield. Bruce will be remembered by his nieces and nephews, Alison (Gabriel), Sondra (Franz), Jordan (Gen) Catherine (Curtis), David (Christine) and Cameron. A service celebrating the life of Bruce Mourant will be held on Saturday, August 21st at 2:00 pm, at Arbor Chapel, Valley View Funeral Home, 14660-72nd Avenue, Surrey, British Columbia. In lieu of flowers, Bruce would have preferred a donation to the Canadian Kidney Foundation. ""Goodnight, sweet Prince. And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.""

Bruce was a very kind and giving man who supported Blake at every practice and game at baseball. Was very sad to here he had passed on thinking of his family. Couch Shawn and Family

Bruce made it out to everyone of Blake's baseball games even when he was so very sick. Blake was a very lucky boy to have a Poppa who loved him so much.

It was a pleasure to work with Bruce for many years. He was a good person. Although I've been retired for about ten years, I was thinking about Bruce the other day. That's the kind of person he was.. you never forgot him.
