Bruce J Vinje

Bruce J. Vinje, 71 of Hemet, passed into heaven on December 14, 2023.

Bruce was born on April 19, 1952 in Kalispel, MT to Ralph and Joan Vinje. He moved with his family to Southern California when he was 5 years old. Bruce attended Orange Glen High School in Escondido where he met and later married Susan Gobble. He became a follower of Jesus in March of 1978. He worked as a Soil's Technician for Vinje and Middleton Engineering. Bruce suffered a major brain injury in 1991 and spent the rest of his life learning how to overcome the challenges his accident presented. He loved nature and geology. In his later years he was an active member of 412 Church in San Jacinto where he loved studying the Bible.

Bruce is preceded in death by his father Ralph and mother Joan Vinje and his son Matthew J. Vinje. He is survived by his daughter Tara Thomas of Temecula, grandchildren Andrew J. Thomas 21 (of which he shared a birthday) and Elizabeth Thomas 19, as well as siblings Malcolm Vinje, Linda Terry, and Dennis Vinje along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm on February 10, 2024 at the Emmanuel Faith Chapel in Escondido. A reception with refreshments will follow.
