Bruno Moser

Bruno Moser died May 14, 2012. He was 92 years old. Bruno was born July 23, 1919 to Bruno and Marija Moser in Zemun, Yugoslavia. He was a longtime resident of Birmingham, MI, and previously lived in Argentina, Italy, Turkey, and his native Yugoslavia. Bruno was the founder of the Bruno Moser Wine and Liquor Distillery. He began his career by earning a degree from the Geisenheim School of Wines. His company was the largest and most well known winery in Yugoslavia. He won many awards, and enjoyed great success, but had to leave his country after the Communist takeover. The new communist government took over the winery, and renamed it NAVIP Vineyards and Distillery. Bruno and his wife Angelica, whom he married in 1943, lived in Italy and Turkey after they escaped from the communists. They then moved to Argentina, and Bruno started his own winery and distillery again. He and his family realized their dream, though, when a few years passed and they moved to the United States in 1954. The family settled in Birmingham, MI, and Bruno began to work at Home Juice beverage company, later named Ever Fresh. His career with the company spanned 30+ years. He was renowned for his expertise in beverage flavors, and worked for years as a beverage technologist. Bruno was an avid tennis player and skier. He was also passionate about horseback riding and equestrian, and was a member of the Metamora Hunt Club. Classical music was another love of Bruno's, and he enjoyed going to the symphony and orchestra. Bruno was also an amateur linguistic since he lived in many different countries. He fluently spoke Italian, German, Spanish, English, and his native Yugo. Bruno was the devoted husband of the late Angelica. Father of George Moser and Natalie Stoner. Grandfather of Jason and Sean Stoner, and great grandfather of Charles, Jackson, Alexis, Parker, and Tyler Stoner. Services will be held privately.
