Strangis Bruno George Strangis, age 82 of Overgaard, AZ, and formerly of Minneapolis, died in Arizona on 12/13/03. Preceded in death by his loving wife Juila Strangis, April 24, 1995. Survived by his son John Strangis, his children Anthony Strangis and Angela Brinkmeier (Brian); daughter Dawn Edgmon (Jerry), their children Courtney Lewis (Matt), and children Dakota and Gage; son Mark Strangis (Robin), their children Jennifer and Brandon Strangis. Also survived by brother Pat (Angel) Strangis, brother-in-law George Halvorson (Patty) and children Linda, George and Gary Halvorson and cousin Ralph Strangis. Bruno was born December 23rd, 1921, the son of Italian immigrants, Giovanni and Carmela Strangis from the southern region of Sambiase, Italy. He joined the United States Coast Guard in 1941. After finishing the Coast Guard, Bruno went home to marry his sweetheart Juila Halvorson in 1944. He had a successful career in the graphic arts industry, being a member of the Typographics Union. He then had three loving children, and retired in 1987. Bruno left behind many tournament golf and bocce ball trophies, but much more important, the lessons of life, respect for God, hardwork and love for your family. Many thanks to the Payson Health Care Center, Brother Pat, God Son Jimmy Montury (Dorothy) and many friends at the Italian- American Club. Precious Thanks and Love to Dawn, Jerry and Courtney who were there when he needed them the most. Visitation 1 hour before services Wednesday, Dec. 17, 10AM at St. Clements Church, NE Mpls. 911 24th Av. 612 789-3533. In lieu of flowers, Memorials preferred.
