Bryan Colley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 11, 2025.
Bryan Christopher Colley was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 7th, 2025. He was in the beautiful home that he and his wife had purchased a year prior-a place they called "forever."

Bryan was born on November 28th, 1986, in Dallas, Texas, to Melody Pokorny and Richard Colley.

He lived in the Dallas area throughout his life, where he attended UT Dallas and completed his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He would eventually meet his wife, Julia, through mutual friends. Together, they built a life centered around family and friends. Bryan's greatest joy in life was raising his two boys, who adored him. They spent much of their time together playing with cars, throwing the football, and enjoying the great outdoors.

Throughout his travels, he enjoyed scuba diving, island hopping, and experiencing new cultures and cuisines. He also loved spending time on the lake with his family and the Boat Dawgz Crew-BoatDawgz4Life. While in Texas, Bryan enjoyed working on cars, singing karaoke, being a grill master, and hunting with Christian. Bryan was the Dallas Cowboys number one fan second to the Blue Angels. He had a real love and respect for aviation. Those who knew Bryan will remember him by his big smile, laughter, and his ability to turn a stranger into a friend.

Some of Bryan's favorite travels included visiting the homeland of Ireland to see the Cliffs of Moher and experiencing the crystal-clear waters of Exuma. Each summer, he looked forward to the annual family 4th of July trip in Port Bolivar for some Texas beach fun. His favorite activity in Bolivar was setting off the biggest fireworks he could find that lit up the big Texas sky.

Bryan is survived and deeply missed by his loving wife, Julia Colley; his two beautiful children, Christian and Carter Colley; and is forever cherished by his mother, Melody Pokorny, stepfather, Jack Pokorny, stepmother, Sandra Prato-Colley, father-in-law, Scott Reddin, and mother-in-law, Andrea Niezborski. He is also survived by his siblings: Skylar Colley, Beau Brinkman, Sean Brinkman, Jonathan Titko, and Jessica Titko; niece, Saylor Brinkman; aunt and uncle, Leisa Woodard and David Balentine; and a host of cousins who share his joyful spirit.

Bryan was preceded in death by his father, Richard Trant Colley. He always cherished the many wonderful memories of traveling to the Bahamas with him during summer vacations. He was also predeceased by his beautiful aunt, Susan "DeAnn" Harris.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations for Christian and Carter Colley. https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-christian-and-carters-future?attribution_id=sl:6bb914c2-dc29-428b-851b-029152984881&lang=en_US&utm_campaign=man_sharesheet_dash&utm_content=amp13_c-amp15_t2&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=sms

I met Bryan a few years ago. My son Jayden´s closest friend is Christian. Bryan was always a kind, caring, respectful, brilliant man and I always enjoyed our conversations. He always went out of his way to do things for Jayden, Christian and Carter. My heart is broken for Julia, Christian, Carter and the rest of the Colley family. May he find peace and comfort in god´s hands

Even though I worked with Bryan for less than a year, Bryan showed his character to do the right thing - he was proud on his work. He is a beautiful soul, and he will be missed. My prayers go out to his family and friends in these difficult moments, knowing he will continue being with them in spirit.

Bryan was more than a coworker. He was my lab partner and my friend. I love him like a brother.
I will miss our crazy Science Friday afternoons when we´d goof around in the lab, trying things we´d find on YouTube or elsewhere.
My heart is with your family. I am so sorry we have all lost a wonderful man.
