Mr. and Mrs. Parkhill, Carrie and Colin:

I lost touch with Bryan after you moved from Grand Island. I'm so sad to learn of his death. He was my first love and I'll always hold a place in my heart for him -- however stormy our high-school romance was! Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Message by Rick Fonte, Overnight Walgreens Assistant Manager

I met Bryan several years ago, as one of the customers at Walgreens on Chateau and West Esplanade in Kenner. He used to come in at about 4 AM either prior to or after his shift at Valero, usually buying something to eat. I did not know him very well, but had missed seeing him for several months.
Then, one evening he came in with Saioa, and I mentioned I hadn't seen him for a long time. That is when he told me about being ill. This was the last time I saw him, but always asked every Valero employee that came in if they knew him (none did)...

We here at the store have missed him, and are saddened to hear of your family's loss.

You have our heartfelt condolences.

Jan, Dan, Carrie, Brian, and Colin,

Close your eyes and imagine the warmest heart-felt hug you will ever know. We stand beside you. We can hear your heart beat and feel your soul ache.
To Bryan, you were a family who loved him and laughed with him. You so tenderly cared for him through all of life's ups and downs. Together, you fought courageously to give him love, life and comfort. He rests now, peacefully know you have each other.
You will forever see Bryan in each other's eyes. You will hear him when you whisper. You will feel him when you embrace each other. He will laugh with you when you laugh with each other. Close your eyes and know that he will always be with you.
With all our love...

Bryan - I'm so sorry we lost touch after Katrina. I hate that I moved so far away from you, our friends, and the rest of New Orleans
I will always remember your wit, your sly glance and half-smile when you said something funny, waiting to see if I "got it", and your outright grin when I did.
I will remember your excellent hugs, and all the fun times we had with the rest of the YatChat crazies.
To Bryan's family and his other friends, I grieve with you, that we have lost this extraordinary man.
Peace.
