Bryan David Saldana was born July 23, 1974 in Fresno, California and grew up in the San Joaquin Valley. He later moved to Washington State where he first enlisted in the U.S. Army at age seventeen. He loved his family and was involved in community sports coaching football and baseball. His passions were Hawaii, the Seattle Seahawks, the Sounders and grilling. Bryan had a great desire to serve his country. He served proudly with the U.S Army, U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force. His medals included: *Army Good Conduct Medal *Army Achievement Medal *National Defense Medal *Army Service Ribbon *Southwest Asia Service Medal *Army Over Seas Service Ribbon *Global War on Terrorism Service Medal Ribbon Currently Bryan was a Staff Sargent in the California Air National Guard serving as a maintenance analyst with the Aircraft Maintenance Group assigned to the 144th Fighter Wing based in Fresno, California. Bryan passed away on May 26, 2011 in Tulare, California. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family. He is survived by his wife Mary Salazar Saldana, two children Cristian Saldana and Maribel Saldana, his mother Sherry Eileen Cano and father David Salazar Saldana. In addition Bryan leaves behind his grandmothers Alice Salazar, Barbara Basulto, sister Misty Anne Saldana and brothers Michael Cano and Jonah Cano. Family members also include aunt Diana Chojzcak, Danusia Ramaley, Robert Cano, Adolfo Salazar, Jorge Salazar, Merced Salazar, Jesus Salazar¸ Jamie Salazar, Richard Salazar, Rocio Salazar, Cuahutemoc and Maria Salazar and numerous nieces and nephews. Condolences may be e-mailed to [email protected] A Funeral service will be held Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel at 10 a.m. Visitation will be Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel from 8 a.m. till service. Private burial.
