Bryon Towns Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 19, 2025.
Bryon Towns was born on January 19, 2004 to Tamika Curry and Gerard D. Curry in Chicago, IL. His parents loved their son dearly but were unable to care for him.

Ms. Lessie Towns stepped in to love, care and provide for him. Ms. Towns adopted him from the time that he was an infant until he was 13 years old. He grew up with the Towns family on the Southside of Chicago. He attended CICS Longwood Elementary School in the Washington Heights neighborhood. He later on moved to Gary, IN for high school, to be with his brothers and his soon to be new Dad, Howard Hawkins.

Bryon was then adopted, loved & cared for by Howard Hawkins from 2018 until he was a young adult. In spite of a few hurdles, Bryon completed his secondary school tenure and earned his high school diploma from Gary West Side High School in June of 2022. On September 27, 2024, Bryon confessed his life to Christ and was baptized in September 27, 2024.

Bryon was funny, loving and a wise-cracking young man. He loved his family deeply and every time he was around family, he was always cracking jokes. He kept his family laughing. When his girlfriend, Sherrice Parrish informed him that he was going to be a Father, he became immediately excited, calling to inform everyone he could.

On November 28, 2024, he and his girlfriend welcomed their first child together, Normani Parrish. He worked hard to ensure that his daughter wanted for nothing. He worked as a cook at Wendy's & KFC, ending his work experience as a forklift driver at the Walmart warehouse.

On June 25, 2025, alongside his girlfriend Sherrise, through a tragic train accident, it was in God's will to remove him from this earthly plain. He was preceded in death by his adopted Mother, Lessie Towns; Great-Grandmother, Rosie & Grandparents, Debra & Willie Rickey Feazell; Niece, Royal Coger.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his beautiful baby girl, Nomani; his biological Parents, Tamika & Gerard; His adopted Father, Howard (Natasha); his Brothers, Travis (Tyrionna) Feazell & Gerard Coger. Grandmother, Sadie (Joshua) Gardner. Nephew, Elijah and Aunt, Adrian Feazell. He also leaves a host of other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
