Buddy Morgan, 77, Henderson, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Buddy worked at The Gleaner for 54 years and retired as Production Manager. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran. Buddy was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, and enjoyed being with his family. He was an avid golfer and sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard A. Morgan; his mother, Lillie Fulkerson Morgan; his stepmother, Mary Morgan; and one sister, Patricia Spencer.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Barbara; one daughter, Kimberly Clark and her husband, Dale, of Evansville; one sister, Debbie Morgan, of Henderson; five brothers, Raymond Morgan and his wife, Joan, Ernest Morgan, Harry Morgan and his wife, Janet, and William Morgan and his wife, Nancy, all of Henderson, and Richard Morgan and his wife, Kathy, of Evansville; one grandson, Mitch Mullis, of Evansville; one stepgrandson, Sam Clark, of Evansville; two sisters-in-law, Judy Pullum and Glenda Faye Kadenhead, both of Henderson; nieces and nephews; and longtime special friends, Mary and Jimmy Pinkston and Betty and Johnny Hancock, all of Henderson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. The Reverend Ted Burke will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, St. Anthony's Hospice, or American Lung Association.
Pallbearers will be Mitch Mullis, Sam Clark, Dale Clark, Ron Jenkins, Steve Austin, Mike Moore, and Rick Lancaster.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mary and Jimmy Pinkston, Betty and Johnny Hancock, Judy Pullum, and Angela Sights.
