DORIS E. YOUNG
SOUTH SHORE, Ky. — Doris E. Young 86, of South Shore, Ky. died Friday May 13, 2016, at the SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born Oct. 2, 1929, in South Shore, Ky. a daughter of the late Jessie Raymond Hunt and Hope Porter Hunt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Young on Jan. 9, 2008. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cindi Patton and a son-in-law, Randy Adkins.
Doris was a retired physical therapy aide from SOMC and the PT Center in South Shore. She attended the First Church of God in South Shore.
She is survived by one son, Larry (Judy) Fetters of Portsmouth, Ohio; a daughter, Christie Adkins of Portsmouth, Ohio and a sister, Anna (Joe) Amburgey of South Shore. Grandchildren; Angie Fetters, Bethany Dederich, Sarah Patton, Brandon Smith, Cindy Dolan, David Speas, Danny Speas, Jennifer Caulley, Jamie Gambill and Mark Adkins; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Morton Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky. with Acy Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in South Shore. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
