Burley Hise Obituary
Burley Elzy Hise, 76, of Hot Springs, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at his home.
He was born in Mustoe, April 29, 1946, a son of the late Elzy Lee and Elizabeth Lillian (Inscore) Hise.
Owner and operator of “Burley’s Plumbing and Heating,” Burley was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his community throughout his career. He was a member of Hot Springs Baptist Church. Prior to his decline in health, he enjoyed driving fast and riding his motorcycle. Additionally, he enjoyed time spent visiting with friends and family. Above all, Burley will be remembered as a very supportive and loving husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Darlene Frances (Hodge) Hise on October 22, 2022; beloved granddaughter, Abigail Grace Hise; and brothers, Charles, Fred, Fay and Roger Hise.
He is survived by his daughter, Darla Hise of Hot Springs; grandson, Benjamin “Ben” Elzy Hise; brother, Howard Hise of Warm Springs; sisters-in-law, Betty Ryder of Warm Springs and Linda Hise of South Carolina; brothers-in-law, David Hodge and wife, Ida of Hot Springs and Joseph Hodge of Hot Springs; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Hot Springs Baptist Church with pastor Garland Humphries Sr. officiating.
Following the service the family will receive friends during time of fellowship and meal, also at the church.
