Burnard Deel Burnard Deel, 80, passed away on June 16, 2010. He was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and was of the Christian faith, veteran of the U.S. Army and a 1948 Haysi High School graduate. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah Morgan and Nettie Jane (Boyd) Deel; one son, Tony Lee Deel; and numerous brothers and sisters. Survivors: wife, Faye Deel of 57 years, Clinchco, Va.; two sons, Rodney Deel, Clinchco, Dean Blankenship, Richmond, Va.; one brother, Leonard Deel, Wise, Va.; four grandchildren, Megan Blankenship, Brandon Dean Blankenship, Tonya Lee Woodruff, Jessica Nicole Deel; four great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Tyler, Brianna, Alexis. The family will receive friends on Friday, June, 18, 2010, at 6 p.m., with services at 7 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June, 19, 2010, at 1 p.m. with clergyman Frank Newsome, Lloyd Deel at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Blankenship Cemetery, Green Brier Road, Haysi, Va. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Carrol Lewis, Leonard Deel. Mullins Funeral Home and staff are serving the Deel Family. Online condolences may be made at [email protected]
