Burt~
You would have loved your Memorial Service. So many people were there- from Miss Clara to the Mayor, the turn out proved how invaluable you are to us all.
Some one mentioned that you would have said- All of this for me? Get out!
Yes, all of that for you. The testimonials made it hard to believe that you were really gone.
I like to think you've gone on a trip to California to have yet one more bonfire. I can almost see you standing there as the fire catches wood and the sea lions play, staring out to the horizon and the setting sun....

Yes, all of that for you. There were so many good testimonials that it's still hard to think of you as gone.
I like to think that you're just on a trip to California, gone back to the beach for yet one more bonfire as the sea lions play and the surf rolls in. I can almost see you standing there looking out to the horizon and the setting sun....
Burt's Guitars

This is a picture of Burt’s $10,000 guitar collection in the early 80’s when he lived in Pacific Beach in San Diego & worked as the top salesman at the largest major appliance center there. As many know, He was one of the best musicians anyone ever met because of his passion and the love for it that he always said his mother had taught him. He inspired many people into becoming musicians because everybody loved him and wanted to be like him. Incredibly lucky, he would consistently catch the 1st fish, the biggest fish, win all the card games, dog races, and somehow even pick the winning lottery tickets. It is hard to imagine never being able to play music with him again all night long the way that he loved to and did so often…

Since you can tell a tree by it's fruit, Burt was a peach. He was a giving, loving man. He loved people, and I am grieved in my heart of hearts that he is gone from us. He blessed me continually. He was a friend, and he meant alot to me. Mitzi Bushong
