RETIRED Miner Mr Colin (Mush) Lambert (79), of Field Drive, Shirebrook, was buried in the town's cemetery after a service at Holy Trinity Church, Shirebrook.
Born at Shirebrook and educated at Model Village and Carter Lane Schools, he was a lifelong resident of the area. Mr Lambert was a miner at Shirebrook Colliery for 36 years before retiring.
He was a keen pigeon flyer and he loved all aspects of gardening until his health deteriorAated. He enjoyed watching television and especially going on coach holidays.
Mr Lambert, who died at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Calow, leaves his wife, Mrs Helen Lambert, daughters Sharon, Karen, Cheryl, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The service was conducted by Rev B. Dale and arrangements were by A. W. Lymn, Shirebrook.
