Friends received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at WOLFE MEMORIAL INC., FOREST HILLS CHAPEL, 3604 Greensburg Pike, 412-731-5001. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Maurice Church. The funeral has been changed to accomodate the WHSD school family. Everyone please meet at church.

So i met Mrs. McDowell during camp . She was my teacher and from our very first day she understood me more than half the people i have known for even longer . Mrs. McDowell is a very very strong person and the day she told us about the death of her daughter Caileigh . I couldn't believe it , not even the fact that she lost her daughter the fact that she was so strong and so very beautiful just like her daughter . I loved having Mrs.McDowell as a teacher but the best moment we've ever had is when our class finished our work early so miss McDowell sat down and talked to us and just told us so many stories about Caileigh it was very heart warming . I'm so proud of her and I still think about Caileigh every day . May your heart still be filled ..

I met Caileigh through her Grandmother, right away I knew she was a beautiful, thoughtful, loving girl. Yes Caileigh was taken to young but due to her passing it certainly has made a lot of people (excluding family) think about our values and how anyday it could be taken away. I hope that I leave a mark on this earth as Caileigh has.

My thoughts and prayers go out to every person who knew this beautiful girl. I never met Caileigh but was told about her passing through an online Crohn's support group. I suffer from the disease as well. Just know that she was a true fighter and her legacy will live on. She's brought awareness and one day we will have a cure.
