Callie Jo Pengelly
Callie Jo Pengelly, 26 of Frenchtown, MT, passed into the unknown early Saturday morning, July 3rd following a motor vehicle accident. Callie made her grand entrance to this world on June 7, 1995, to parents Mark Pengelly and Deb (Rockwood) Pengelly at their Frenchtown home.
From a young age, Callie's passion for life and exploration was apparent. She thrived in the company of others and expressed a boundless, uncritical love that undoubtedly touched the lives of anyone lucky enough to cross her winding path. She will be sorely missed by each and every one of us who had the pleasure of witnessing her untamed, adventurous spirit. An inspiration to many, Callie's mission in life was to live every moment like it was her last, never letting life's struggles conceal her vivacious spirit. Her empathy and affection for others were truly unrivaled, and she passionately expressed these traits through her friendships, caregiving, and workplace.
Callie was unapologetically herself, inspiring others with her tenacious approach to life and love. While her time with us was fleeting, her impact will resonate for eternity in the hearts, smiles, and laughter of all those she cared for.
Callie, wherever you are, little girl, we hope you are continuing just as passionately and with just as free a spirit as you had during your time with us. Do some fishing with Grandpa and ice climbing with Uncle Dave; you are in good hands and will forever be free of your earthly concerns. We will love you forever, cherishing your spirit through the infinite beauty and abundance that this world has to offer.
Callie is survived by her mother, Deb (Rockwood) Pengelly of Alberton; father, Mark Pengelly of Frenchtown; four sisters, Aaron Bruffey of Alberton, Afton Bruffey (Jeremy Bristol) of Billings, Danni Bruffey (Adam Argyelan) of Bozeman, and Jesse Pengelly (RJ Matthews) of Billings; grandmother, June Rockwood of Frenchtown; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, one niece, one grandniece and her countless devoted friends.
Callie is preceded in death by grandfathers, Leslie Pengelly and Gerald Rockwood; grandmother, Mary Pengelly and an uncle, David Pengelly.
A Celebration of Life for Callie Jo Pengelly will be held Saturday, July 31st from 2-7:00 pm in the Nine Mile Community Center in Huson, MT located at 25620 Ninemile Road. Cloyd Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, and to honor Callie's love for children, animals, and the outdoors, we are asking friends to make memorials to the Frenchtown Little League, Clark Fork Coalition, Missoula Animal Shelter or the charity of their choice and may be mailed to Cloyd Funeral Home & Cremation Service, P.O. Box 595 Lewistown, MT 59457.

Our story is short, but it's the sweetest one yet. I've known you for ages before you became family. You were there for me in ways that words can never explain what you meant to my children. You are someone that I can never replace in my heart. You helped my daughter get to school when I started having medical problems, seeing you daily, your beautiful smile, and the joy radiated from your caring soul that lit up any room you stepped into. You influenced my life in so many possible ways-our weekly dinners downtown with the kids. Having that time with you was irreplaceable. I have hundreds of pictures and videos that I listen too, to hear your laugh, see how happy you were with the kids.

I can only imagine the pain of the loss of a child. Mark, Deb, my heart and thoughts are with you. I remember Denny and us
having a good laugh regarding the cabin I lean, and Callie Jo. May she rest in peace.

Even though we worked remotely together I was fortunate to have met you and know what a sweet girl you were and how shocked I am to read of your passing. My heart and prayers go out to your family and I know Heaven is blessed with your presence now.
