Family-Placed Death Notice

DR. CALVIN CALHOUN, SR. Uncle Calvin said recently, "A person coming through this life is a recipient of many things seen and unseen. I was the recipient of some of the goodness of this world, allowing me to escape harm through the encouragement of others. There are no self-made people. Someone is always helping. The world has been good to me. The master of the universe put something in me that helped me learn better. We should not go through this world without helping someone, or sharing and giving back. It is my turn to share and give back." "This statement serves as a fundamental explanation for the drive that led to the diverse contributions to society made by Uncle Calvin," said nephew, Leroy Calhoun, Sr. of Atlanta, Georgia. To the family of Dr. Calhoun, Sr.

My condolences are with you at this difficult time. I work with Dr. Calhoun, Jr. at the VA. After reading the article on his Dad, I can truly say, Dr. Calhoun Jr. is much like his Dad. Dr. Calhoun, Jr. had a friend, a mentor, a colleague and a wonderful Dad. Know your Dad is out of pain, and in a much better place. God Bless you Calhoun Family during this difficult time.
