I worked with Dr. Wolinsky for several years at MetroHealth and enjoyed his kindness, gentleness, patience, and get-it-done persona. He taught me persistence, to just never give up. I will always be grateful to him for that. He was a wonderful man and I felt honored to work with him. I wish him happiness with God and to his family, my most sincere sympathies.

Dr. Wolinsky was a gentle man, a gentleman, a scholar, a teacher, and a Mensch. The world is a better place because he was with us.

I have been honored to have known and been mentored by Manny. He has been a personal hero of mine since I first came into contact with him as a fellow in infectious dieases. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. John Marino, Auburn Twp, Ohio

I have known the Wolinsky family for 50 years and I was so sad to hear of Manny's passing. Manny and Marjorie were always so welcoming to me and were like second parents after I moved from Shaker Heights. I remember sitting around their dining room table sharing stories and laughing at the youthful trouble that Peter and I got into too. And Manny could cook up a tasty bass or northern pike. My love and thoughts go out to the entire family.

Dr. Wolinsky was one of, if not the, most memorable and best teachers in my medical career. He definitely was influential in my career choice of becoming an internist. i will always remember his curiosity, kindness to patients and energy (had our whole ID team routinely walk the stairs up to the patient floors from radiology in the basement). Condolences to his family.
