Grant was one of the first people I met after winning my job in the Arizona Opera orchestra. As a fellow "out of state" resident orchestra member, Grant made certain that my interests were looked after since he had walked the same path as I would have to, and his expertise, kindness and friendliness made a great impact on me. I will miss him, and the orchestra will certainly not be the same without him.

I met Grant in college at Arkansas State University. He joined our Diamond Brass Quintet as a sophomore and we travelled the State of Arkansas (including his family farm) raising money to attend the EBQ Seminar at Tanglewood in 1985. We remembered those wonderful trips in 2020 on a Zoom call on the 35th Anniversary of that live-changing musical experience. Grant was always fun, funny and incredibly musical-RIP dear friend.

I first met Grant about 25 years ago, when we both worked for City Music Center in Kenilworth, NJ. He had a sharp wit and a ready laugh, in addition to being a very fine brass instrument repairman and trombonist. Sad news, indeed, and condolences to the family. One of the 'good guys.'

Grant and I lost touch as I left Arizona and he moved to New York. He was a good friend and always had my back. I´m sorry we lost touch I have so many found memories of the good times we share whether we were playing, hiking or eating a meal together. Vic, I´m so sorry for your loss and all that love him. He was such a good guy. Sending my heart felt condolences. - Brett
