Capt. Chase Tyler Cole, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, and outdoorsman, passed away on March 21, 2025, at the age of 24. Born on January 5, 2001, in Houston, Texas, Chase lived a life full of adventure, passion, and dedication to the outdoors.
Chase graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and went on to become a licensed Captain with the United States Coast Guard, guiding out of Matagorda, TX, specializing in waterfowl hunts and bay fishing. He was a proud member of numerous organizations, including the Coastal Conservation Association, Fort Bend Charter, Matagorda Pro Team, Vega Rods Pro Team, and Obsession Fishing Pro Team. His love for fishing and hunting was not just a hobby, but a way of life. He was an extraordinary fisherman, an excellent hunter, and a constant seeker of knowledge, always striving to improve his skills in the field.
Chase had a special place in his heart for introducing young people to the wonders of the outdoors. He dedicated himself to creating lifelong memories for kids on their first fishing and hunting adventures, ensuring each trip was nothing short of extraordinary. He lived for the coastal waters and the memories made on them, and he will forever be remembered for his generosity and his ability to make others feel like family.
A true lover of nature, Chase was often seen waking up early to witness the beauty of every sunrise and sunset that he could. He was a lifelong fan of anything baseball. From little league baseball, to select baseball with the Fort Bend Texans, to high school baseball, he was a lifelong fan of the game. Chase was also very passionate about raising animals for FFA, crediting his years in FFA as what molded him into the person he became. He eventually found his true passion in life, as his heart belonged to the outdoors. Whether it was the smell of saltwater or the stillness of a hunting blind, Chase found peace and purpose in the natural world.
Chase attained his lifelong dream as the proud owner/operator of Triple C Guide Service, LLC. Chase had a career that he truly loved, running his boat on the water and sharing his love for the coastal waters with his customers and friends, he was truly one of the lucky ones in life.
A follower of Christ, Chase shared his faith through his selfless acts of kindness and compassion, always seeking to serve and help others and live a life that honored God. Now, he rests peacefully in the arms of his Savior, free from earthly sorrow, and awaits with a rod and reel in hand for the glorious reunion with his loved ones in God's eternal kingdom.
