Carey Martin

Carey Martin, age 64, of Fairfield, and more recently Trumbull CT, beloved wife and best friend of David Martin, passed away suddenly on December 17, 2022, while visiting Colorado. Carey was born in Bridgeport, CT on November 6, 1958, to parents Adeline Berzinskis and John Berzinskis of Fairfield. She was a graduate of St. Emery's School and then Roger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield. In 1982 she graduated the Licensed Practical Nurse Program at Bullard Havens Regional Vocational-Technical School in Bridgeport, CT. Carey quickly became a hard-working, caring, and competent nurse who maintained her LPN license for 40 years. During her career, she worked at St. Vincent's Hospital, private practice medical offices, The Jewish Home for the Elderly, Cambridge Manor, and as a visiting nurse for Constellation Health Services. Carey was a breast cancer survivor. She was a fighter and she won that battle. She was a great Mom, and truly loved her entire family and all of her friends. Carey treasured the time she spent with her nieces and nephews and their children, and she adored (and spoiled) all the cats and dogs that were a part of her life. Carey loved Cape Cod escapes with Dave, Rock and Roll, Italian food, and visits with Dale and Paige and her Granddogs in the mountains of Colorado. We were all very lucky to have her be a part of our lives. She is survived and sorely missed by her husband David Martin of Trumbull, son Dale Zupsansky and his wife Paige, sister Jan Coppola and her husband Tony, sister Carmella Terek, aunt Rose Napolitano, several loving in-laws, cherished nieces and nephews, her great niece, great nephews, and countless close friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass for Carey on Saturday, March 11, 2023. The Memorial Mass is at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church located at 545 Stratfield Road, in Fairfield, CT.
